Happy Monday everyone!

Here are our reflective prompts for this week's mental health check in. Feel free to reflect below with a comment or reflect privately.

There will not be a discussion post this week; however, I will be sharing a post tomorrow asking you all about other potential topics you would like to discuss in this group.

Reflection:

How do you feel about yourself in this current moment?

Write 3-5 "I am" positive affirmations about yourself.

Journal Prompt:

How do you practice self care and self love?

Is the level of self care and self love you are at right now fit your needs for your well being? If not, how can you incorporate more self care and self love into your life?

Reflection:

In this moment, I think very positively about myself. It has not always been this way, so I am happy that I can recognize that I feel good about myself in this moment.

I am exactly where I am supposed to be in this moment and in this time in my life

I am more than capable of being a successful grad student this semester

I am filled with love for myself and others

Journal prompt:

Some of my favorite self care activities include journaling, yoga, meditation, going for nature walks or walks in general, and simply being still.

The level of self care and self love I am at right now could be higher. I do feel a sense of imbalance where I am working more than I am taking care of myself and taking time to love myself.

I am educating myself daily

I am loving my family and friends more than ever

I am intelligent and excelling

I practice self love through self care. My gf got me to start doing a skincare routine that has helped me relax more. I also like sleeping in and reading. Current favourite book right now is autobiography of Malcom X.

Love the positive affirmations! I'm happy to hear your gf got you into doing a skincare routine. The Autobiography of Malcolm X is one of my favorites too! I read half of it and have yet to finish it.
