I think this episode has definitely opened my eyes to how careless we can be when it comes to preserving our water. Although the population increase is not something we can control, there are several steps we can take on a daily basis to preserve the groundwater. Something that was completely flabbergasting to me was the fact that "one quarter pound hamburger takes about 1,650 liters of water to produce." (7:06)  When we look at this outlandish number, we can finally understand why the meat consumption is much lower across the world because certain areas lack an abundance of groundwater.
